Evan Detrick

President

Evan Detrick is DuBois & King’s Transportation Department Manager. He is responsible for supervision and direction of project assignments, including hands-on administration and technical supervision of staff; quality control and design reviews; project scheduling and budgeting; coordination with other departments; professional partnering; and client relations. Evan’s varied project experience includes development of 4-lane limited access highways and arterial roadways on new alignments, widening and rehabilitation of existing roadways, bridge construction and replacement projects, environmental assessments in accordance with NEPA, recreational trails, the addition of bikeways on existing roadways, traffic signal and intersection improvements.

 

Dereck Woolridge

Vice President

Dereck Woolridge manages the Land Development team at Cross Consulting Engineers in St. Albans. As a Project Manager, he is responsible for the design and permitting of the project, including the site layout, grading, utilities, and traffic management. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, Dereck worked inPennsylvaniafor 10 years preparing traffic impact and corridor studies, and designing traffic signal systems and roadway improvement projects. Dereck graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1995.

David Roberts

Member at Large

David Roberts is a Senior Transportation Planner with the Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO). David manages several programs for the MPO, including the municipal technical assistance program and regional transportation model. He is actively involved in both long range planning initiatives as well as short term transportation system management projects. David has a BSCE from the University of Virginia and lives in South Burlington with his wife.

Jenny Austin

Secretary & Treasurer

 

Jenny Austin is a Senior Associate for Resource Systems Group. Jenny works on a variety of transportation projects including, but not limited to, traffic studies, roadway and intersection improvements, and design of pedestrian and bicycle facilities. Jenny assists with all phases of these projects, from feasibility studies, plan preparation, NEPA documentation, contract plans and bid documents. Jenny has a BSCE from the University of Vermont and was named the 2009 Vermont Young Engineer of the Year.

 

Jon Kaplan
VTrans Liason
  
Jon Kaplan is currently the Bicycle and Pedestrian Program Manager at the VT Agency of Transportation. He has worked in the VTrans Bike/Ped Program for almost 9 years, including 2 years as the Vermont Safe Routes to School Coordinator. He is a registered civil engineer who has been involved primarily with bicycle and pedestrian facility planning and design for more than 15 years. His experience includes working in both the private and public sector, including his current position within the VT Agency of Transportation Bicycle and Pedestrian program. He has three young children and practices what he preaches by bicycling and walking instead of driving as much as possible in Randolph, VT where he lives.
